I wish I could say I've gotten a bunch done. But what I've been doing doesn't translate directly into shoes.....yet. It has finally gotten warm enough that I can work with the machines in the garage. I have wanted to get my finisher working. A finisher has a long arbor holding grinding wheels, burnishing wheels , and polishing brushes for shoes. Mine was made in Minnesota I'm guessing 1890 or 1900. It is motorized and I think just as old. The wiring was crunchy. So, I purchased a new motor with the same specifications. I won't bore you with the details. Just know that I was in WAY over my head and I had to call in a couple "life lines". I made the final (I hope) adjustments this morning. Theoretically, this should speed up repairs and bottoming finishes. We shall find out.
I have done several youth classes lately. On Saturday I will be at the library in Waseca for another youth class. May 13th , catch me at Manifest by the Blue Earth Co. Library and May 14th , Mothers Day, at the Makerspace Makers Market.
