2025 A new year

There are so many things I did not accomplish in 2024. I'm continually playing catch-up. And, it continues. At the Mankato Makerspace, I am the Shop Lead for the Textiles area. I teach leather craft and shoe making. Leather is a textile. Things like knitting and crocheting, quilting, repairing fabric and sewing clothes are all under the Textiles area. Hopefully, quilting will be returning soon. I am looking for someone to start teaching knitting and crocheting. Beginning Sewing starts next Wednesday. We have 6 machines that beginners - all abilities, but beginners especially - may use. There are 3 Singers and 3 Janome. Please register for all of my classes on the Mankato Makerspace website.

In other efforts at the Makerspace, I'm doing annual maintenance on all machines in Textiles. 4 machines are industrial sewing machines. 9 are household machines. All are dusty and grimy. Dust is the blood of the Makerspace and it is EVERYWHERE!!!

In my workshop, I have 3 pairs of shoes on my work bench at any one time plus many smaller projects currently in progress. Please have patience. I'll get there.
